The Least Noticeable Dirty Places in Your Home

The Least Noticeable Dirty Places in Your Home
Besides the obvious dirt we see every day, can you think of the top 3 least noticeable dirty places that can easily be overlooked?  Let’s count down:

#3 HOME OFFICE :

In the age of remote work, the home office has become a central part of our daily lives. Unfortunately, it’s also a hotspot for germs and dirt.
  • Keyboard and Mouse - We often eat at our desks, touch our faces, and transfer germs from our hands to these surfaces.
  • Pens - Besides electronic device, physical pens can also be contaminated with germs from our hands and faces.

Cleaning Tips:  Wipe down your devices and desktop regularly with disinfectant wipes.

#2: BATHROOM:

The bathroom is an obvious contender for one of the dirtiest places in the home. However there are places that is not so obvious that we should also pay attention to.
  • Bathroom light switch and door knobs - Light switches and door knobs, especially in the bathroom, are frequently touched and can harbor germs. Let's add a section about the bathroom light switch.
  • Toothbrush holder - Toothbrush holders are often overlooked during cleaning, yet they can be one of the dirtiest places in the bathroom, accumulating bacteria from wet toothbrushes.
Cleaning Tips:  Wipe down lights switch and door knobs regularly with disinfectant wipes. Wash the toothbrush holder regularly, ideally daily.

#1:  KITCHEN:

The kitchen is the heart of the home, but it’s also a hotspot for germs and dirt, thanks to food preparation and high traffic.
  • Cutting board - Cutting boards, especially those used for raw meat, can harbor bacteria if not cleaned properly. Wooden cutting boards are particularly prone to bacteria buildup if they aren’t sanitized correctly.
  • Coffee Machine Reservoir: The water reservoir in your coffee machine can be a breeding ground for mold and bacteria if not cleaned regularly. Many people overlook this part of their coffee machine during routine cleaning.
Cleaning Tips:  Sanitize cutting boards after each use, using hot, soapy water, and occasionally treat wooden boards with vinegar or a bleach solution. Empty and clean the coffee machine reservoir weekly with a vinegar solution to prevent mold and bacteria buildup.
